Lá na Stocaí Craiceáilte (Crazy Sock Day)

We all enjoyed showing off our wacky side for Crazy Sock Day (Down Syndrome Awareness Day)

We raised lots of money to donate on behalf of our school to Down Syndrome Ireland, so that they can continue to offer support and services to people with Down syndrome, and their families.

Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Week)

Bhí an-spraoi againn ag ceiliúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge ón 4ú-15ú Márta. Bhí móran gníomhachtaí ar siúl againn sa scoil, agus chanamar go haláinn, don scoil ar fad, ag an Lá Glas.

Cruthamar roinnt píosaí ealaíne i rith an gcoicís freisin chun Lá na Máithreacha agus Lá Fhéile Pádraig a cheiliúradh.

Gabh muid an-bhuíoch do Ms. Brady as an cabhair a thug sí duinn chun ár n-ealaín a chriochnú!

We had great fun celebrating Irish Week from the 4th-15th of March. We had lots of activities on in school, and we sang beautifully, for the whole school, at the Green Day.

We also created some art pieces during the fortnight to celebrate Mother's Day and Saint Patrick's Day.

We are very grateful to Ms. Brady for the help that she gave us to complete our artwork!

Lá Domhanda na Leabhar (World Book Day)

We all took some time to focus on reading and discussing the wonderful books we have available in school to celebrate Lá Domhanda na Leabhar on Thursday, March 7th.

We shared reading with our 'Reading Buddies' and listened to stories read to us by our teacher.

We are very thankful to the school for also providing a wonderful book fair that gave us the chance to pick some fantastic books to buy!

Lá Fhéile Vailintín (St. Valentine's Day)

We all learnt about, and were inspired by, the work of Wassily Kandinsky to create our Valentine's Day art while celebrating Lá Fhéile Vailintín on Wednesday, February 14th.

We made the collages by cutting out lots of different coloured hearts and gluing them to our colourful backgrounds.

We are very thankful to Ms. Brady who helped us to display our work for everyone to see!

Lá Fhéile Bríde (St. Brigid's Day)

We all had tremendous fun making St. Brigid's Crosses to celebrate Lá Fhéile Bríde on Thursday, February 1st.

We made the crosses by folding the rushes we had brought in, over each other to create a pattern.

We are very thankful to the girls from Ms. Gilroy's 5th & 6th class who helped us and provided us with extra rushes!
